GHI Medical

ELISA Candida Antibodies and Antigen Blood Panel

The easiest way to see if you have a candida issue is with the saliva test. The saliva test is great for a "yay or nay" on if you have candida or not and it will also help you gage your progress as you go through a candida cleanse. However, many of us would like a more quantitative method to detail exactly how much candida is in our system; the best test that we have come across is a Candida Antigen Blood Test.. If your symptoms are severe, it may be a good idea to work with your doctor and get a test performed at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of your cleanse. We have had many people take an ELISA Candida Antibodies and Antigen Blood Panel and it does a great job of letting you know where your candida levels really are. This test is a blood test, not a stool test.

GHI Medical can provide a qualitative candida test for you. They have doctors on staff, so it is not imperative that you find a doctor who will order this test for you.

Their prices are quite reasonable. Here is information from: http://www.ghibioscan.com/candida.html. GHI Medical  is located in Clearwater, FL and specializes in preventative health programs that require comprehensive blood testing for weight loss, hormone therapy, sinusitis prevention and hair restoration. They provide over 8,000  different blood tests for the insured and uninsured client. They also offer up to 60% off retail walk in pricing on labwork and have a contract with over 1800 Labcorp patient service centers across the country. GHI Medical does not accept insurance on blood testing; however, the client may try to submit for reimbursement. Please call GHI Medical at 1-877-721-1200 if you would like to find out what kinds of tests they offer for candida. GHI Medical provides heavy metal testing on arsenic, lead, mercury, and cadmium (some of the most common heavy metals found in the human system). GHI Medical also tests for hormonal imbalance at (http://www.ghihrt.com/hormone.html).

Generally, candida tests measures a number of different things: serum candida antigen, IgA antibodies, IgM antibodies, and IgG antibodies. The IgA, IgM and IgG antibodies are antibodies that your body has produced in order to fight different strains of candida. The IgM antibody indicates a present infection, IgG reflects a past or ongoing infection and is usually produced after initial exposure (this means that your infection is more severe if IgG levels are elevated). Elevated IgA levels may indicate a more superficial candida infection. The test also gives you a measure of Candida Antigen present, as well. This number needs to be below 306 (on the test below from US Biotek) to be considered a non-reactive candida infection.

I am including the test results of a customer of ours that used the ThreeLac to clear a chronic candida issue she had been struggling with for years. The initial test was performed in early 2006, she was on the ThreeLac for 8 months and the final test shows her levels after the candida cleanse. ThreeLac was the only candida fighting product that she took. The candida symptoms that were most troublesome for her were vaginal and bladder infections, frequent urination and sinus infection. I have erased her name to allow for anonymity, but the results are real. As her candida improved, her symptoms got better and better until she no longer has to deal with the infections, frequent urination or sinus problems.

Here are her before and after tests. Please note the level of Candida Antigen and IgA in the test. This is the measure of her active candida. The IgG levels will not change as dramatically because the antibodies, once created in the system, will largely remain. The IgM increased which showed that her body was actively fighting the candida and producing more antibodies.

BEFORE THREELAC.

AFTER 8 months on THREELAC:

This is amazing proof that candida does exist and that getting rid of candida will help to eliminate the symptoms caused by candida. The after Candida Antigen level is only 267 compared to the before Candida Antigen level of 1444. This sort of quantitative information is a valuable tool!
